Land
Park is one of Sacramento's most coveted neighborhoods. The homes built in
the 1920's to 1940's offer quality craftsmanship including hardwood
floors, inlaid mahogany, formal dining rooms and leaded glass windows.
The nearby William Land Park is home to the Sacramento Zoo and Fairy Tale
Town children's park. There are many city sponsored events in the park and
an old fashioned steam train line that originates in Old Sacramento.
There are million dollar price tags on some of the homes in this area;
however, most homes are two or three bedroom homes priced for the move-up
buyer. The commute to Sacramento is just minutes away so residents are
able to enjoy the cafe life, theater, restaurants, galleries, Old Town
Sacramento, and the completely refurbished downtown mall.
The Sacramento River and the marinas along the river are close to this
area. You can be on your boat in no time and motor to a river side
restaurant for dinner or on to the San Francisco Bay area. The famous
recreational areas are within easy driving from the Land Park area. If you
should chose to go sailing on Folsom or Lake Tahoe, fishing,
hiking, bike riding, water or snow skiing, the trip will not be a long
one.
Hospitals and other medical facilities are in the Sacramento downtown area
just minutes away. Both Sutter General and Mercy General are close by.
