Pocket / Greenhaven

|
This upscale twin community is nestled in the southwestern section of
Sacramento between the Sacramento River and Interstate 5. It consists of
three parts: 'The Pocket' & 'Riverlake' to the south and 'Greenhaven' to
the north.
Greenhaven was developed in the '70s and '80s with its center being Lake
Greenhaven. Riverlake is in the Pocket side of the community.
Each has recreational opportunities and many lovely homes on the lakes.
Prices for single family homes on the lakes reflect the location; however,
there are many very nice modest single family homes, duplexes, and
apartments as well. The area plan was to develop and retain open spaces
including parks (of which there are now 10), extensive greenbelt areas, as
well as biking, pedestrian and jogging trails.
Commute time to downtown Sacramento (about 8-10 minutes) is at a minimum
because of easy access to Interstate 5 and the rest of Sacramento's
freeways. This is also an easy counter-commute to Roseville. When you get
off the freeway to finish the last part of your commute home you will find
the boulevards wide and tree lined with convenient areas for local
shopping.
Residents enjoy the abundance of clean parks, easy access to the river and
a two-mile greenbelt with underpasses and overpasses that allow children
to walk to school.
Major hospitals and medical facilities are nearby.
