With all of the residential development, many businesses
consider this area a prime location. Whitmire Corporation plans to open a
13.6 acre distribution center and Polyclad Laminates, Inc. has purchased
more than eight acres to build a facility. Estimates are that between
Apple Computer, JVC, Whitmire, and Polyclad, 2000 people will be employed
in the area.

New parks scattered throughout the area are thoughtfully located and
maintained for all to enjoy. Those who need to commute to Sacramento use
Highway 99 commuter lanes or Highway 5. Laguna is close to all major
recreation areas in and surrounding the Sacramento area. Residents make
use of the rivers, lakes, mountain and delta recreation areas easily.
Laguna
Creek residents enjoy wide boulevards with landscaped center dividers and
can choose from starter homes all the way to upscale developments.
This community has planned commercial and residential space intended to
cut the commutes. The new areas have man made lakes and senior
developments.
The village style community of Laguna West has been designed to
accommodate pedestrians. There are shops and commercial sites including
Apple Computer, Inc., JVC, a 100-space daycare center, new shopping areas
and new movie complex. The community center is the heart of the village.
