Elk Grove
|
Elk Grove offers a vast array of new homes, a school system recognized
statewide for its innovative educational programs, a 12 mile commute to
Sacramento in car pool lanes and well maintained parks. Elk Grove
Park is one of the most popular spots in the county for softball games and
state and national tournaments.
Elk
Grove is a friendly farming community exploding into a bedroom community.
There are still homes on acreage ranging from tiny dwellings to million
dollar ranchettes. Land is still available for building a custom home.
Within Sacramento County, migration has been southward to Elk Grove/Laguna
and to the east to Folsom. Affordable housing, a thriving economy and all
the wonderful recreational activities available make Elk Grove very
popular.
Recreation includes the Delta for boating, water skiing, camping, fishing,
and cruising out to San Francisco Bay. Lake Tahoe and the snow skiing
areas are nearby as are the Sacramento and American River, Folsom Lake,
cafes and restaurants, galleries and theater in Sacramento, Old Sacramento
with all its wonderful attractions, Arco Arena for the Kings Basketball
and concerts, and horse racing at California State Fair Grounds can fill
your leisure time.
Health care is available at Kaiser Permanente South, Methodist Hospitals
of Sacramento, Sutter Health Group, and UCDavis.
