Serrano

Come home to Serrano in Northern California's El Dorado hills and enjoy
a "California Village" lifestyle. The community's design encourages people
to know and greet one another, yet respects their privacy.
Many of the home sites enjoy views of the downtown Sacramento skyline,
Folsom Lake, the snow capped Sierras, and the magnificent sunsets. The
planning for this prosperous, secure master-planned community involved a
respected team of architects, land planners, engineers, landscape
architects, environmentalists and consultants. The focus has been on
developing a large-scale living and recreational community in harmony both
with nature and your needs.
Enclaves of homes on the golf course behind guarded gates and
pre-designed homes surrounding parks (some also with gates) make up the
many choices you have within Serrano.
Serrano Country Club offers a clubhouse with a traditionally appointed
golf shop, tennis, swimming fitness room, dinning from casual or elegant,
expansive decks and cozy fireplaces provide the perfect setting for you to
enjoy the scenery and relax in comfort and style. The centerpiece of the
Serrano Country Club is a private, 18-hole, par-72 championship golf
course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Panoramic views of Folsom
Lake and the Sierra Nevada surround the course's manicured greens and
fairways.
The Village Green offers a host of community activities on its 27 acre
site. There is a 10 acre park, tot lot, grassy picnic areas, an
amphitheater for concerts and community events, homeowners association
meeting room, a bandstand/gazebo, and a two-acre lake. Retail, offices and
two restaurants are planned for the near future.
Eight hundred acres have been dedicated to open space throughout the
community. Taking a walk on the 26 miles of nature trails may enable
you to see your "neighbors" such as graceful deer, red-tailed hawks, blue
heron, cottontails, wild turkeys and Canadian geese by the Mormon Island
dike early in the spring. California poppies, blue lupines, flowering pear
and apple trees will delight you along the way. Majestic oaks scattered
over the softly rolling hillsides announce the defined seasons with their
ever changing halo of leaves.
Schools, daycare, supermarkets, retail shops, entertainment and
transportation are all conveniently located. Silva Valley Elementary
School, Rolling Hills Middle School, and Oak Ridge High School are within
or adjacent to Serrano. (see school information and free school reports
here)
Serrano is within the El Dorado Hills Community Services District which
includes (in addition to Serrano's parks, open space and habitats) 80.31
acres of developed parks, including the 10-acre Bertelsen Park, the New
York Creek trail and nature area, Governor's Ponds (a duck habitat) and
the 40-acre Community Park located at El Dorado Hills Boulevard and
Harvard Drive, which includes an activities building, pavilion, pool, and
ball fields. While most of the park acres in Serrano are owned and
controlled by the Serrano Owners' Association, the three large parks
planned for the community will be the responsibility of the El Dorado
Hills Community Services District.
The outdoor enthusiast can enjoy the fishing in the nearby American
River or boating on Folsom Lake the Serrano lifestyle takes advantage of
the great California outdoors.
