El
Dorado Hills has the distinction of being home to elegant, upscale homes
on its oak studded hillsides. Some of the area is private, planned and, in
some cases, walled and gated. Some of the homes overlook Folsom Lake.
Serrano
opened its golf course and country club
recently and is the site of new home development. The lots around
and on the golf course are sites for many magnificent new homes.
Down the hill from the golf course other developers are also adding new
homes but at lower prices. There are established areas of homes that
include those on large parcels and "in town" size lots.
The area is the covered with oak trees and rolling hills. At the
foot of the climb to South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado Hills offers all the
nearby recreation opportunities of the Sierras right in your own backyard.
Tahoe entertainment includes not only the outdoor activities of this
magnificent mountain lake but also casinos and nightlife on the Nevada
side. You can easily do a day trip to Lake Tahoe and enjoy your
choice of activities and return home in time for dinner.
Many area residents commute to downtown Sacramento and to the high tech
companies in Folsom.
